Lama Kunga Rinchen is currently on a fund-raising mission to build a Buddhist meditation retreat - Sam Ten Gatsal Meditation Centre in support of dharma teachings.
The aspiration arises from Lama's precious retreat experiences, where he realised the importance and need of having an ideal retreat environment that is conducive for practitioners to pursue their meditation, inner reflection and spiritual development.
The Sam Ten Gatsal meditation centre will be built on the beautiful mountain land of Nainital (state of Uttarakhand), Northern India, which is approximately about 236km north of New Delhi. Located on a mountain with streams and forest, it is tranquil and peaceful with scenic views of the natural habitat. The serene and welcoming setting will provide ideal conditions for retreat and for all who seek time out from their busy lives for spiritual contemplation and meditation practice.
The proposed meditation centre will provide the necessities and conveniences of retreat accommodation and meals so that practitioners can concentrate on their retreat in a safe & quiet sanctuary. The centre will offer two types of retreat accommodations suitable for solitary retreats as well as group retreats.
The proposed meditation centre will also provide essential guidance for dharma practitioners who wish to enter a retreat (especially a solitary retreat) after receiving the required initiations and/or empowerments from their Gurus and Root Masters. If they so wish, proper guidance will be provided for retreatants before entering the retreat, during the retreat and after the retreat.
At present, there is no retreat centre in Uttarakhand that is open to the general public who wishes to learn and practice meditation. The proposed Meditation Retreat Centre is non-sectarian and is open to Buddhist meditation practitioners of all nationalities and backgrounds. Lama Kunga also plans to organise annual group meditation retreats and welcome anyone who is interested in the practice of Buddhist meditation techniques. Classes and guidance will be provided in Tibetan, English, Hindi and Chinese languages.
This Retreat Centre is affiliated to the Sakya Centre, Dehradun under the spiritual patronage and guidance of His Holiness, the 41st Sakya Trizin, whose principal residence is in Dehradun.
With this golden opportunity, Lama Kunga sincerely seeks your kind generosity and sponsorship to help develop this Retreat Centre for the benefit of all meditation practitioners.

Last but not least, Lama Kunga wishes you and your loved ones, abundance blessings & merits from your virtuous act of Dana (Giving). Only with your support, can this VISION become a REALITY.
